Students, teaching assistant receive awards for excellence

At an event held in the University of Arizona Student Union Memorial Center on April 8, the College of Engineering honored 17 undergraduate seniors, nine graduate students, and 10 teaching assistants for top performance in academics and research.
"This is one of the best days of the year," said David W. Hahn, the Craig M. Berge Dean of the college. "Today, we get to celebrate you and everything you've accomplished."
Seniors Morgan Fefo and Keegan Kyrolainen, along with graduate student Uddav Ghimire and teaching assistant Eka Kurniati all received awards for academics and research.
"Morgan exemplifies exactly what we hope to see – academic excellence, leadership and a deep commitment to helping others succeed," said Dominic Boccelli, department head and professor in the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering and Mechanics.
